An afternoon of fine food and fabulous music
Charingfield residents were recently treated to a very elegant high tea, and it was a feast for the senses!
The room was transformed with soft lighting and linen tablecloths, while the serving counter was laden with tiered porcelain cake stands and an abundance of sweet and savoury treats. There was something for everyone – fresh fruit and salad, indulgent cheesecakes, iced cupcakes, chocolate cookies, cheese and crackers, mini sausage rolls, and even chicken wings!
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by a very smartly dressed, Samundra, who offered them a selection of sparkling wines and juices before they found their tables.
While musician, Greg, provided the perfect backdrop with familiar melodies, the residents settled in to enjoy their afternoon and very soon the room was buzzing with light conversation and laughter.
Pamela loved the music. “Greg’s music puts a smile on my face. I found myself tapping my feet before I even had my first bite!” she said.
“I look forward to these afternoons more than anything,” said Albert. “The food is always beautiful and, when there’s live music too, well, it just doesn’t get better than that.”
Warner agreed. “Samundra always makes us feel so special. The way everything was presented, it felt like we were at a proper high tea in the city.”
Samundra reflected on the event saying, “At Charingfield, a meal is much more than just food. It’s a chance to celebrate special occasions and create treasured memories.”
Manager, Laxmi, says Charingfield staff go out of their way to ensure residents feel comfortable and at home. “We also like to create unique and enriching moments where residents have an opportunity to experience something different, or even be treated to a little luxury,” she says.
