Men’s chorale performance hits the right note
It was an impressive encore when The Men’s Shed Chorale returned to Charingfield recently for another stunning performance as a headline act for our Christmas in July celebration.
Eager residents, who have been big fans of the choir since they performed previously, took their seats early and there was an excited buzz as they waited for the group to arrive. They were not disappointed. The concert was a rich blend of classical favourites and contemporary hits, with a touch of light-hearted humour adding to the fun.
After, the choir members lingered over a delicious spread of food and drinks, including champagne, beer, wine and other refreshments, all prepared by Chef Tom and the catering team. They chatted with the residents, connecting over their love of music and memories of past performances.
Residents loved the whole Christmas-style event, but particularly loved having the Chorale visit. “I really enjoyed the singing and being able to have a chat with the performers afterwards,” said Dr Roger. Brother Jim agreed. “The music was so good for me. It was a lovely surprise,” he said.
